Transforming Lives Through Clean Water, Sanitation & Hygiene, Environment Protection, and Community Empowerment
Our Vision
We envision a Kenya where every household has safe and reliable water, every child learns in a clean and dignified environment, and every community thrives in health and harmony with nature. A Drop of Hope is committed to making that vision a reality in the rural heartlands.
Our Mission
Our mission is to mobilize communities, resources and partnerships to: Provide clean water supply and sanitation infrastructure Deliver hygiene education and behaviour change programmes Empower women, youth and families to lead sustainable change Protect the environment and promote responsible use of natural resources With integrity, transparency and local ownership, we build solutions that last.
Our Approach
Community-Led – We empower communities to take ownership of their water and sanitation systems, enabling long-term success. Sustainable Design – Our interventions incorporate solar-driven systems, rain-water harvesting, and eco-sanitation that protect natural resources. Capacity Building – Beyond infrastructure, we train local teams in maintenance, hygiene promotion and environmental stewardship. Inclusive & Respectful – We prioritise dignity, gender-sensitive design, and equal access for women, girls and marginalised groups.
Where We Work
We operate across Kisii, Nyamira, Narok and Bomet counties—regions where rural communities face persistent water scarcity, limited sanitation, and environmental vulnerability. By working closely with local leaders, schools and partner organisations, we ensure that every project is grounded in community-needs and locally sustained.
Our Core Values”
Integrity – We operate with honesty, openness and accountability. Compassion – We serve with empathy, recognising human dignity in every interaction. Sustainability – We design for long-term viability and minimal environmental impact. Collaboration – We work in partnership with communities, governments and donors. Empowerment – We build capacity and enable communities to lead their own change.
